Arts Centre Melbourne - Melbourne, Australia
Facilitation, Research, Strategy
The Arts Centre on Melbourne’s Southbank, is Australia’s largest performing arts venue, made up of a complex of theatres and concert halls and hosting some of the world’s best arts and cultural performances. In an effort to reimagine the Arts Centre and the ways it should suit the needs of a contemporary audience, the Arts Centre began a process of transformation.
Left Bank Co. were engaged to review and frame up the transformation process, ensuring the strategic approach was embedded in strong thinking and a robust approach. Through consultations, review and workshops, Left Bank Co. set up the Arts Centre to move ahead with the transformation with its best foot forward.
The scope of work delivered by Left Bank Co. included close consultation with the leadership team to understand their vision and lay out a strategic approach, peer reviews of the business case for change and the management services to undertake this change, and a workshop with the leadership team to introduce them to the process of masterplanning and how it can assist them in realising their vision. The results of this work have shaped the direction which the Arts Centre is taking to begin forming their transformation.
