Australia ICOMOS is the Australian arm of the International Council on Monuments and Sites; a non-government, not-for-profit organisation of cultural heritage professionals with the mission to lead cultural heritage conservation in Australia by raising standards, encouraging debate and generating innovative ideas. They are best known for leading the development and adoption of the Burra Charter which defines best practice standards for managing cultural heritage places.
Left Bank Co. were engaged by Australia ICOMOS executive team to provide facilitation and strategic planning services in order to assist leadership in the development of the organisation's 2017-22 Strategic Plan and Action Plan. Through the planning, design and delivery of an in-depth full-day workshop, Left Bank Co. worked closely with the Executive Committee and key stakeholders to not only consider the key priorities for Australia ICOMOS over the next five years, but to also rethink the vision, mission and values that underpin all that the organisation does. This was critical for the organisation as it aims to maintain relevance with the industry and to seek ways to make a bigger impact on the broader community.
Left Bank Co. led the executive leadership group through the process of preparing both the Strategic Plan for 2017-22, as well as the structure and detail of a yearly Action Plan for 2017-18, arming the organisation with ambitious yet practical tools to keep them on track and accountable to their membership for the next five year.
