Brief
As a result of the NSW Cultural Infrastructure Plan 2025+, Create NSW wanted to understand the infrastructure needs of specific subsectors based on suggested opportunities that emerged from state-wide sector engagement (also conducted by Left Bank Co.).
Approach
Left Bank Co. were appointed to work closely with Create NSW, the Minister for the Arts and his team to design and facilitate roundtable sessions with both the Orchestra sector and the Dance and Physical Theatre sector, with the purpose of developing a master brief for a proposed multi-purpose facility that housed both shared and organisation-specific spatial needs. Through collaborative engagement activities, we explored the needs and opportunities for both the major performing arts organisations, as well as those within the small and medium sectors.
Impact
The information garnered from these sessions is informing on-going conversations to define the next round of cultural infrastructure project planning in NSW.
