Royal Adelaide Hospital Bid Coordination

Client: Confidential

Location: Adelaide, SA

Year: 2016

Transforming assets, transforming cities

Brief

The Royal Adelaide Hospital is an historic site in the centre of Adelaide’s CBD, that has long required attention. The South Australian government requested developer-led tender submissions for the redevelopment of the site, aiming to turn it into a thriving public precinct with the objective of reconnecting the CBD to the riverbank.

Approach

Left Bank Co. were engaged by the new business unit of one of the proponents competing for the development project, performing the role of facilitator, editor-in-chief and project manager for the delivery of the bid. The role was delivery focused, while also offering a voice to guide, challenge and mentor the team to develop the strongest ideas and responses for the submission.

Impact

The site was initially awarded to another proponent but negotiations did not continue. The site has since become home to Lot 14, an innovation precinct managed by the South Australian government.
